The Rev. Joe K. Dunagan, D. Min. grew up in south Georgia, is a graduate of Berry College (B.A.), Candler School of Theology at Emory University (M. Div.) and Sewanee: The University of the South (D. Min.).
Kristie Fayler is a life-long Bristol resident and graduated from Virginia High School and Virginia Intermont College with a B.A. in Organizational Management. Before coming to Emmanuel she worked with non-profit agencies in the Bristol area and has expertise in marketing, administration and public relations. Kristie is the mother of four boys: Wes, Alex, Jacob and Cooper and is active with her parish at Saint Anne Catholic Church.
Adriel grew up in Bristol,TN and after a few years away, returned to the area. Adriel has a BA in English with graduate degrees in Liberal Arts and Education and graduate work in Philosophy. Her work at the church includes overseeing our Catechesis of the Good Shepherd ministry and Journey to Adulthood, our youth ministry. Adriel lives in Bristol, TN with her husband Chris, a theatre professor at King University and her daughter Harper and two dogs, Olive and Pepper.
Stephanie Yoder graduated with a masters’ degree in organ performance from the University of Akron and a bachelor of arts degree in music performance with an emphasis in piano pedagogy from Malone College in Canton, Ohio. Since her tenure at Emmanuel began in 2009, Stephanie has worked toward expanding the choral music repertoire, celebrating choral evensong, and developing a concert series. Stephanie is enjoying her time serving as Organist/Choir Director at Emmanuel Episcopal Church and hopes that through our time together we may have the opportunity to grow both musically and spiritually. In addition to her work at the church, Stephanie has pursued another passion, working as a Veterinary Assistant at VCA Highlands Animal Hospital. Stephanie enjoys staying active by running in local races and she and her husband Chris enjoy biking and hiking. Together they enjoy their life in Bristol, VA with their four dogs.
