Our Worship

Worship at Emmanuel follows the living tradition of the Episcopal Church. The American Book of Common Prayer guides the liturgy that we use to express our prayers to God, to hear the sacred story contained in scripture, and to join together in communion for the Eucharist. Our music is broadly traditional (American and European), using the Episcopal Hymnal 1982 and other collections authorized by the Episcopal Church. Our music mostly is accompanied by our Mueller pipe organ, but we also have occasional guest instrumentalists and vocalists. We believe that our worship reflects the mission of the church in proclamation, intercession, reconciliation, and service.
